Hurray it’s World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March. I am so excited as we get to dress up as a character from a favourite book. My friend Arthur is going to dress up as Mr Bump. I can’t wait to see him. Mum is going to sort my outfit out but we are not sure yet what I am going as!
Are you getting dressed up? If you are, write and tell me which character you are going to be.
I love listening to stories, do you? Mum or dad read me a story every night before I go to sleep. Sometimes grandma or grandad read to me as well.
At Mouse school, Miss Squeak reads us stories too. At the moment, she is reading ‘Matilda’ by Roald Dahl. This is about a very clever and amazing little girl called Matilda who has parents who don’t care and when she goes to school even the headmistress Miss Trunchbull is cruel and nasty. Fortunately, she finds a friend in her teacher Miss Honey. We have just heard that Matilda has found she has special powers and now the fun has started. I can’t wait to hear what is going to happen next!
Better go and get my outfit made, well – suppose it’s all down to mum really, she is great at making things!
Have fun! Be sure to write and tell me how you celebrated World Book Day this year.
